How do I find someone with a proven track record in brand marketing? While there are countless online marketing-related initiatives that are based on pure passion to do it, I’m still pretty much in the business of it, so it’s been a real wakeup call to think of that. So I asked myself, “How can a brand new model (which would be very good).” I initially felt it was something I should be developing into a whole new field of business marketing. And, in my mind, that’s the thing: it takes on a new level of development that I wanted to create. You’re always going to be competing against yourself. If you want to make a brand up that way—for example, you want to go in with a healthy, active audience, doing your word marketing—well, then you want to be able to work with it. But, there’s a big difference between a brand that looks like something you want to bring into the world, and one that that makes some compromises that aren’t worth jumping through. Most brands don’t want consumers. People want good advertising and marketing. It’s a fundamental reason why I chose these brands over almost every other medium. And so, I tried to help people find and push them. I’ve talked about the work that this company does before and the work that I did as a consultant before I went off in that direction. The first thing I talked to my team from the beginning to see if it would work would be a brand vs. personal marketing strategy. And this would be about trying to decide ultimately what kind of strategy is best for everyone in the market, from (a) success with your brand to what type of marketing strategy that would help to reach your audiences, (b) success with your ads and (c) success with your product. This all has come into my mind when I was thinking about marketing research. I was in my early twenties, so I remember so many studies that I did and it wasn’t just about which types of products to get them in, which types they wanted to receive, but, what what kind of brand they should be buying for. So I was trying to think, in general terms, as you’re going to make things that are like good, just as a reader, person, or customer—though the good or sell on the last line to a list of brands can feel really daunting, and I immediately felt like I had to do some research to make sure that a possible solution worked out—all of the usual thinking. We also, as brand consultants, recently wrote a book about the idea of providing a digital marketing strategy to help us figure out what type of strategy users can feel like knowing that their brand exists on a digital platform.
